It Takes a lot of hard work to care for the animals/ It's a true labor of love.
Any donations help us enrich and care for all the animals that pass through our facility and touch our hearts.
We house and care for a wide variety: Reptiles, Lizards, Turtles, Tortoise, Snakes, Tarantula/Spiders.
Mammals including Rabbits, Chinchillas, Ferrets, Degus, Gerbils/Hamsters and Guinea Pigs.
We raise Feeders to help lower the cost: Rats & Mice, crickets, mealworms, superworms, dubia roaches & Madagascar Hissing Cockroaches.
We have several permanent residents that require large habitats as well as have large appetites... Check out Rita our Retic!
Usage to maintain this facility is excessive and we strive to provide:
Daily: Greens, veggies, fruits, vitamins, medicines, feeders & insects
Habitat Requirements: Tanks/Tubs/Screen Cages, Bulbs, Heating Elements, Bowls, Basking Decor, Bedding/Substrate, Water Treatment, Enrichment.
Power/Gas/Maintenance/Storage
Cleaning Supplies: Bleach, Paper Towels, Shop Cloths, Brooms, Mops, Scrubbies, Scrapers, Trash Bags, etc...
Poop Disposal! We generate a lot of natural waste and disposal is an ongoing process.
The list can go on and on. You get the gist. It's expensive, labor intensive and yes, worth every penny and every minute! All you have to do is look at a happy, healthy animal going to it's forever home and know in your heart, you have done your best.
